Mums on the Move- 8 week Course
This course is designed for mums with babies aged 6 weeks +, but not yet crawling. It is a safe and fun way to start exercising again after your life & body-changing event.
We will start with Pilates based core work (especially pelvic floor) to develop body awareness, build strength and practice correct posture for all future exercises and daily living. Exercises will gradually progress to full body functional movements designed to build strength and increase cardiovascular fitness.
Exercises will be low impact and easily tailored to suit individual needs. We will use body weight, baby weight, light weights and Thera bands. Exercise is an excellent way to reduce stress and release happy endorphins. Gentle exercises will help you have a faster post-natal recovery.
About the Facilitator: Sarah Brown
Sarah is our Physiotherapist (Women’s Health) and has done extensive post graduate studies specifically in women’s health (pelvic health, prolapse, urinary incontinence) Sarah is also a qualified Pilates Instructor and is passionate about helping pregnant and post partum women remain active and have a better recovery post partum.
