Recruitment and Selection Process

The Health Voyage recruitment and selection process consists of:

  • Identifying a vacancy
  • Advertising
  • Shortlisting applicants
  • Inviting suitable shortlisted applicants to interview
  • Interview questions can be provided to you in advance on request.
  • Identifying the preferred applicant
  • Credentialing and checking employment references
  • Conducting a criminal record check (compulsory) and verification of working with children check (compulsory)
  • Offer of employment to the successful applicant
  • Supported and individualised induction and orientation program on commencement

Onboarding Support

  • A structured induction checklist and onboarding schedule 
  • Access to our digital onboarding platform (ELMO) for forms, training, and resources 
  • Clear line management process
  • Where practical buddy system with regular check-ins during your probation period 
  • Opportunities to complete a Personal Operating Manual (POM) to support communication and self-awareness 
  • In-person support for IT setup and orientation meetings with key team members

Professional Development and Clinical Supervision

We offer employees the opportunity to apply for professional development including training, workshops, online events, and courses. Additionally, our online learning platform offers optional courses in a range of topics that can be undertaken with Manager approval. 

Internal Clinical Supervision can also be offered to clinicians as per the requirements for their specific position.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Access

We are committed to supporting the wellbeing of our team. All staff have access to confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services through EAP Assist, including counselling, wellbeing resources, and helpline support. These services are free, private, and available to help you navigate personal or work-related challenges.

Vaccinations

Health Voyage provides primary health care to people in our community, some of whom are particularly vulnerable due to the many determinants of health. We follow evidence-based practice and supports immunisation as a safe and effective way of giving protection against disease for individuals, families, and the whole community.
