Who we are

Health Voyage Limited is a not-for-profit charity providing primary health and wellbeing programs and services in the Mid and North Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Healthier People. Stronger Communities is the driving ethos behind Health Voyage.

Health Voyage have been serving the community since 1986, that’s almost four decades of health provision through the Coffs Harbour Women’s Health Centre and more recently headspace Coffs Harbour and headspace Grafton. At the core of the organisation is the mission to provide quality, compassionate and accessible health services tailored for women, young people, people in need of mental health support and their families and supports.

Collection

It is our usual practice to collect information about all visitors to our online resources. That information is very limited and only used to identify generic visitor behavioural patterns.

Sometimes we use third party platforms to deliver information or online resources. These are sites hosted and managed by companies other than Health Voyage. Before deciding if you want to contribute to any third-party site read their privacy policy.

We use Google Analytics on our website. Information and data collected through Google Analytics is stored by Google on servers in the United States of America, Belgium, and Finland. Customers can opt out of the collection of information via Google Analytics by downloading the Google Analytics Opt-out browser add on.

Our metric tools may collect the following information about your visit for statistical purposes:

  • server address
  • top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc.)
  • the date and time of your visit to the site
  • the pages you accessed, and documents downloaded during your visit
  • the previous site you visited
  • if you’ve visited our site before
  • the type of browser used.

We record this data to maintain our server and improve our services. We do not use this information to identify anyone personally.

Cookies

Most of our online platforms use sessions and cookies. The core functionality on these platforms is largely unaffected if cookies are disabled in the user’s browser but the user may be unable to access some advanced functions.

Data quality

We correct any personal information that we hold on request.

If you have subscribed to one of our automated email lists (mailing lists), you may opt out of further contact from us by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the email.

Data security

There are inherent risks in transmitting information across the internet and we do not have the ability to control the security of information collected and stored on third party platforms. In relation to our own servers, we take all reasonable steps to manage data stored on our servers to ensure data security.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction.

Access and correction

You may request access to your information by putting the request in writing and sending it to the Privacy Officer – privacy@healthvoyage.org.au. We will respond to any request within a reasonable period.

We will ensure the personal information we hold is accurate, up to date, complete and relevant. Requests to correct information may be made in writing to the Privacy Officer – privacy@healthvoyage.org.au. We will take reasonable steps to correct the information and will respond to any request within a reasonable period. 

Health Voyage will not charge a fee in relation to making any requests available under the Health Voyage Privacy Policy and will not normally charge a fee for providing access to your personal information unless such access is complex or resource intensive. Health Voyage will also not charge a fee to correct information.

Health Voyage may refuse to give an individual access to, or refuse to correct, their information when a Privacy Act exception exists such as where,

  • Health Voyage reasonably believes that giving access would pose a serious threat to the life, health or safety of any individual, or to public health or public safety; or
  • Providing access would be unlawful (i.e. contravene an Australian law or a court/tribunal order).

Complaints

Any complaints in relation to Health Voyage’s handling of personal information should be directed to privacy@healthvoyage.org.au.
