Delivered in collaboration with headspace Coffs Harbour, Uniting Spirits and Key Community, Beatz & Belonging is a unique community initiative that brings local Elders and young people together through creativity, music and cultural exchange.
The program creates a welcoming space where Elders can share their stories, cultural knowledge and deep connections to Country, offering valuable insights and wisdom to younger generations. In return, young people contribute their skills in technology and digital media, creating opportunities for learning and collaboration in both directions.
Through music, creative activities and shared experiences, participants build meaningful relationships that bridge generational divides. The program encourages mutual respect, understanding and connection, while celebrating the diverse strengths and perspectives that each generation brings.
Adding to the warm and inclusive atmosphere, participants enjoy locally made baked treats and community BBQ gatherings. These shared meals provide valuable opportunities for conversation, laughter and relationship-building, helping to strengthen community ties and foster genuine connections.
More than just a program, Beatz & Belonging is about creating a sense of belonging for everyone involved. By bringing people together to share culture, stories, skills and experiences, the initiative promotes understanding, celebrates community and helps build a stronger, more connected future for Coffs Harbour.

headspace Coffs Harbour is delivered locally by Health Voyage and is part of the national headspace network. headspace Grafton is funded by Healthy North Coast through the North Coast PHN Program.
