Residents of Nambucca Heads recently came together for Care & Connect Nambucca, on the 15th of July. Care & Connect is a community event designed to raise awareness of the support services available across the region and help people navigate pathways to care.
Delivered in partnership with Nambucca Seventh-day Adventist Church, Uniting Spirits, Key Community, Galambila’s Ready.Quit.Solid program, Carers NSW, headspace Coffs Harbour, and Health Voyage, the event provided a valuable opportunity for community members to connect directly with local service providers and learn more about the assistance available to them.
Attendees received information about a broad range of community services, including how to access support and the referral pathways available to ensure they receive the right care at the right time. The event fostered meaningful conversations and encouraged stronger connections between residents and service organisations.
During the event, Janene shared the latest information about Health Voyage, the Women’s Health Centre, and headspace Coffs Harbour, helping attendees gain a clearer understanding of the health and wellbeing services available throughout the region. Her presentation highlighted the range of support options available and reinforced the importance of accessible, community-based care.
Care & Connect Nambucca demonstrated the power of collaboration in supporting local communities. By bringing together service providers and residents in one welcoming space, the event helped strengthen awareness, improve access to essential services, and build connections that contribute to healthier and more supported communities.
