A Creative School Holiday Celebration at Bellingen Youth Hub

Time to read:

1โ€“2 minutes

Twelve young people came together at Bellingen Youth Hub for an inspiring and creative school holiday session, combining music, art, and cultural learning in celebration of NAIDOC Week.

The day provided a welcoming space for participants to explore their creativity through a range of engaging activities, while learning about and celebrating the rich cultures, histories, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through music and artistic expression, young people were encouraged to connect, share ideas, and express themselves in a supportive environment.

The session offered more than just creative fun. It created opportunities for meaningful connection, cultural appreciation, and community engagement, helping participants build confidence and develop new skills while celebrating diversity and inclusion.

It was a fantastic way to spend the school holidays, with laughter, learning, and creativity bringing young people together. The event highlighted the importance of creating safe and inclusive spaces where young people can connect, learn, and celebrate culture as a community.

We thank everyone who attended and helped make the day such a memorable and enjoyable experience. We look forward to welcoming more young people to future activities at Bellingen Youth Hub.
