We’re incredibly proud that Coffs Harbour Women’s Health Centre is featuring in this month’s Focus Magazine as we celebrate a significant milestone, 40 years of supporting women across our community. This special feature shines a spotlight on the history, growth and impact of the Coffs Harbour Women’s Health Centre, recognising the important role the service has played in supporting the health and wellbeing of women throughout the region for four decades.
The magazine article reflects on our journey since opening our doors in 1986, highlighting how the Centre has evolved from a small community-based service into a trusted and vital health resource for women across the Mid North Coast. Guided by a commitment to equity, access and compassionate care, the Centre continues to provide a range of services that support women at every stage of life.
This milestone is also an opportunity to acknowledge the many people who have shaped the Centre over the years, from the passionate local advocates who helped establish the service to the dedicated staff, volunteers, partners and community members who continue to support our work today. Their contribution has helped create a lasting legacy of care, advocacy and empowerment for women in our region.
As we celebrate this anniversary, we honour the past while looking toward the future. We remain committed to delivering safe, inclusive and high-quality healthcare and ensuring women in our community have access to the support and services they need.
