On Wednesday, 2 September, headspace Grafton had the opportunity to connect with 120 young people from the Year 9 cohort at South Grafton High School.
The session focused on important conversations around mental health, help-seeking, stereotypes and stigma, encouraging young people to think openly about their own wellbeing and how they can support others. We also introduced our Work and Study program, highlighting the support available to young people as they explore their education, employment and future pathways.
The young people were incredibly engaged throughout the day, openly contributing to discussions, sharing their perspectives and helping to create a positive and meaningful conversation around some pressing issues.
It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and willingness to participate, and we look forward to continuing to build strong connections with young people and the wider Grafton community.
headspace Grafton is delivered locally by Health Voyage and is part of the national headspace network. headspace Grafton is funded by Healthy North Coast through the North Coast PHN Program.
