Celebrating R U OK? Day at Nambucca Heads High School

Time to read:

1–2 minutes

On 24 September, Rex from headspace Coffs Harbour joined students, teachers, and community organisations at Nambucca Heads High School to celebrate R U OK? Day and promote the importance of staying connected and looking out for one another.

The day highlighted a simple yet powerful message: it’s never too late to start a conversation. Taking a moment to check in with a mate and genuinely ask how they’re doing can make a real difference in someone’s life. While R U OK? Day provides an important opportunity to raise awareness, these conversations can and should happen any day, at any time.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the teachers, students, and community organisations who came together to create such a supportive and positive atmosphere. Events like these help foster stronger connections, encourage help-seeking, and remind young people that support is always available.

Let’s keep the conversation going beyond R U OK? Day and continue building a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and supported.
