Inspiring Future Pathways at South Grafton High School

Cate, Claudia, and Madelyn from headspace Grafton recently spent the day at South Grafton High School, connecting with Aboriginal Year 10 students from South Grafton High School, Grafton High School, Clarence Valley Anglican School (CVAS), and Maclean High School for Aboriginal Culture and Careers Day.

The event provided a fantastic opportunity for students to explore future career and employment pathways through a range of engaging activities. hG facilitated two career and job-focused sessions that proved to be extremely popular, with students enthusiastically participating and sharing their ideas. To celebrate their involvement, two lucky participants will be drawn as winners of our special prize packs.

The day also showcased the incredible talent and culture of local Indigenous young people, who delivered beautiful performances that were enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Alongside the performances, students had the chance to connect with a variety of local services and organisations, learning more about the support, opportunities, and resources available within their community.

It was inspiring to see so many students actively engaging in conversations about their futures while celebrating culture, connection, and community. hG is proud to have been part of such a positive and meaningful event and looks forward to continuing to support young people as they explore their education, career, and employment goals.

We would like to thank South Grafton High School and all participating schools, performers, and service providers for helping make the day such a success.
