On 7 October 2026, headspace Coffs Harbour was proud to attend the Mind Your Mates event hosted by Lifeline North Coast, a valuable initiative focused on strengthening community connections and supporting mental wellbeing.
With many people feeling the pressures of the current economic climate, events like Mind Your Mates provide an important reminder that we do not have to face challenges alone. Looking after our mental wellbeing is essential, but so is checking in on the people around us. A simple conversation, a message, or taking the time to ask someone how they are really doing can make a world of difference.
The Mind Your Mates event encouraged open and meaningful conversations about mental health, highlighting how a simple “Are you okay?” can help someone feel supported, heard, and less alone. Building strong social connections and fostering a culture of care within our communities is more important than ever.
It was wonderful to see community members come together to learn, connect, and share practical ways to support one another. Events like these help reduce the stigma around mental health and empower people to reach out when they need support or to be there for someone who may be struggling.
A huge thank you to Lifeline North Coast for bringing this much-needed event to our community and creating a space where conversations about wellbeing can flourish. headspace Coffs Harbour was grateful to be part of the day and to stand alongside local organisations and community members committed to making a difference.
Remember, a simple conversation can make a world of difference. 💙
headspace Coffs Harbour is delivered locally by Health Voyage and is part of the national headspace network. headspace Coffs Harbour is funded by Healthy North Coast through the North Coast PHN Program.
